What is a cash bond?
Generally the Court orders bail to be posted using two methods; "secured" or "cash-only". Secured bonds are posted by bail bond agents for a small premium (10% plus fees); however, Court-Ordered cash-only bonds must be posted 100% in cash. Although anyone may post a cash bond, not everyone has the cash to post. With sufficient collateral to secure the bond, we can post our cash for bail.
